In May, broad money (M2X) increased by 1.2%, mostly driven by an inflow of funds into organisations’ ruble accounts and deposits.
The annual growth rate of M2X rose from 12.5% in April to 13.1% in May, and that of credit to the economy was up from 9.3% to 10.0%.
As in previous months, lending to the economy was still the major source of money supply growth, with the contribution of budget operations remaining positive.
